Cash and post

The post office and a cash machine are in the village centre, at the town hall: no need to drive down the valley to withdraw or post something. In small shops it still helps to carry some notes.

Can I find everything in the village?
The essentials yes: bread, milk, coffee, something for the pan. For a weekly shop, clothes or electronics you drive down to Avezzano, ten minutes away.
Is there signal and internet?
In the village yes, and the house has Wi-Fi with a desk. Several guests have worked from here for days. On the high trails signal is not guaranteed: download your maps first.
Do I need winter tyres?
From mid-November to mid-April these roads require winter tyres or chains on board. It is not a formality: it snows here.
